Bursary Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the Camino Bursary, you must meet ALL of the following requirements:

Age Requirement

You must be between 17 and 35 years old at the time of application.

  • • Minimum age: 17 years
  • • Maximum age: 35 years
  • • Age calculated as of application deadline

Portuguese Descent

You must be of Portuguese descent and hold a valid Portuguese passport.

  • • Portuguese passport required
  • • Must be valid at time of application
  • • Portuguese citizenship or descent

South African Residency

You must reside in South Africa and be able to provide proof of residence.

  • • South African resident
  • • Proof of residence required
  • • Must be resident at time of application

Educational Enrollment

You must be accepted into or enrolled in an accredited educational institution.

  • • Accepted or enrolled status
  • • Higher education level
